Internships Program: Music Forward Boston and Citizens (Internship)

Music Forward Foundation

Los Angeles, CA

Boston graduating high school seniors receive hands-on training and job shadows in venue careers, mentorship from industry pros, and workshops focused on fiscal empowerment and career readiness.

Music Forward and Citizens are partnering to inspire and prepare Boston’s next generation of diverse live music industry leaders. Together, the organizations provide once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for graduating high school seniors and first-year college students to explore and prepare for a career in live music.  The partnership creates a 7-week paid summer internship program at some of Boston’s most iconic live entertainment venues, along with additional activities for larger groups of students including venue tours, career exploration panels, and interactive workshops at Citizens’ branches.

The program bridges our community to the music industry where BIPOC youth receive hands-on training and job shadows in venue careers, mentorship with industry pros, and workshops focused on fiscal empowerment and career readiness.

Music Forward and Citizens have partnered to inspire and prepare the next generation of diverse live music industry leaders in Boston.
